Faith in Strangers — Acces­si­bil­i­ty Infor­ma­tion and Policies

Faith in Strangers is com­mit­ted to pro­vid­ing an acces­si­ble and inclu­sive expe­ri­ence for all vis­i­tors, regard­less of abil­i­ty or tech­nol­o­gy. We strive to meet the stan­dards of acces­si­bil­i­ty set forth by the World Wide Web Con­sor­tium (W3C) Web Con­tent Acces­si­bil­i­ty Guide­lines 2.1, at lev­el Double‑A.

Trans­port Links: Mar­gate can be accessed via Nation­al Rail on the South­east­ern line. The train sta­tion is approx­i­mate­ly a 15 – 20 minute walk away from Faith in Strangers, or a few min­utes in a taxi (local and reli­able ser­vices include Unit­ed Taxis, Thanet Cars, or A2B Cars Thanet). Bus ser­vices are also avail­able, with a stop locat­ed at the end of Edgar Road by St. Paul’s church.

Park­ing: Faith in Strangers does not have pri­vate or reserved park­ing. On-street park­ing is avail­able near­by, and there is a pay-and-dis­play car park across the road by the Lido.

Entrance: Our entrance is locat­ed between Bugsy’s Bowl­ing and Ren­dezvous (now closed) on Ethel­bert Cres­cent. If the door is not open, please buzz the door­bell for assis­tance. Our lob­by has a set of doors that lead to a stair­way up to the main venue. Unfor­tu­nate­ly, at this time, we do not have access to a lift.

Toi­lets: Faith in Strangers has one main toi­let area that is gen­der neu­tral, with a shared hand wash­ing area. For those who wish to have more pri­va­cy, we have two total­ly self-con­tained cubi­cles. Unfor­tu­nate­ly, we do not have a large sep­a­rate dis­abled toi­let. Please let our staff know if you need assis­tance in find­ing the self-con­tained cubicles.

Lifts: Unfor­tu­nate­ly, we do not have lift access to the build­ing, only a staircase.

Sound/​Lighting: Please be aware that the venue may have flash­ing lights and bright visuals/​projections dur­ing our evening hours and events. We can pro­vide earplugs for those who are sen­si­tive to sound.

Dietary Requirements/​Allergies: Our Kojii menu can cater to a vari­ety of dietary require­ments, includ­ing veg­e­tar­i­an and veg­an options. Unfor­tu­nate­ly, we are unable to cater to those with sesame or soy allergies.

Fire Exits: Fire exits are locat­ed at the side of the Ter­race Lounge, behind the sound desk, the front entrance down the stairs, and out the back of the venue. Our trained fire mar­shall staff will assist in the case of an emergency.

Guide/​Service Dogs: Guide/​Service dogs are wel­come at Faith in Strangers. Water bowls are avail­able upon request.

Med­ical & Well­be­ing Support: Faith in Strangers has an on-site first aider and men­tal health first aider, who are trained in child and adult safe­guard­ing, epilep­sy response, and med­ica­tion admin­is­tra­tion. Our com­mit­ment to sup­port­ing vul­ner­a­ble mem­bers of our com­mu­ni­ty is out­lined in our safe­guard­ing pol­i­cy, which is avail­able upon request.
