Last Reviewed: March 2023
Faith in Strangers is committed to providing an accessible and inclusive experience for all visitors, regardless of ability or technology. We strive to meet the standards of accessibility set forth by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1, at level Double‑A.
Transport Links: Margate can be accessed via National Rail on the Southeastern line. The train station is approximately a 15 – 20 minute walk away from Faith in Strangers, or a few minutes in a taxi (local and reliable services include United Taxis, Thanet Cars, or A2B Cars Thanet). Bus services are also available, with a stop located at the end of Edgar Road by St. Paul’s church.
Parking: Faith in Strangers does not have private or reserved parking. On-street parking is available nearby, and there is a pay-and-display car park across the road by the Lido.
Entrance: Our entrance is located between Bugsy’s Bowling and Rendezvous (now closed) on Ethelbert Crescent. If the door is not open, please buzz the doorbell for assistance. Our lobby has a set of doors that lead to a stairway up to the main venue. Unfortunately, at this time, we do not have access to a lift.
Toilets: Faith in Strangers has one main toilet area that is gender neutral, with a shared hand washing area. For those who wish to have more privacy, we have two totally self-contained cubicles. Unfortunately, we do not have a large separate disabled toilet. Please let our staff know if you need assistance in finding the self-contained cubicles.
Lifts: Unfortunately, we do not have lift access to the building, only a staircase.
Sound/Lighting: Please be aware that the venue may have flashing lights and bright visuals/projections during our evening hours and events. We can provide earplugs for those who are sensitive to sound.
Dietary Requirements/Allergies: Our Kojii menu can cater to a variety of dietary requirements, including vegetarian and vegan options. Unfortunately, we are unable to cater to those with sesame or soy allergies.
Fire Exits: Fire exits are located at the side of the Terrace Lounge, behind the sound desk, the front entrance down the stairs, and out the back of the venue. Our trained fire marshall staff will assist in the case of an emergency.
Guide/Service Dogs: Guide/Service dogs are welcome at Faith in Strangers. Water bowls are available upon request.
Medical & Wellbeing Support: Faith in Strangers has an on-site first aider and mental health first aider, who are trained in child and adult safeguarding, epilepsy response, and medication administration. Our commitment to supporting vulnerable members of our community is outlined in our safeguarding policy, which is available upon request.
If you experience any difficulty accessing our website or venue, please do not hesitate to contact us for assistance.
