Join us at Faith in Strangers for a night of tran­scen­dent musi­cal expe­ri­ences as the charis­mat­ic Man­ches­ter-based DJ Luke Una returns to cel­e­brate the launch of his much-antic­i­pat­ed series, ​‘É Soul Cul­tura Vol. 2’!

Fol­low­ing the mas­sive suc­cess of ​‘É Soul Cul­tura Vol. 1’, which became the sound­track to reju­ve­nat­ed pos­i­tiv­i­ty, Luke Una is back to share his unique jour­ney through new, old, rare, and undis­cov­ered music from around the world. Join­ing him and warm­ing things up will be local mas­ter­mind Katie Barber.

Expect a thrilling ride through gen­res, tem­pos, and decades as Luke expert­ly weaves a tapes­try of spir­i­tu­al, soul­ful, down­tem­po, exper­i­men­tal, and house music. This event marks the begin­ning of the next chap­ter in Luke’s explo­ration of musi­cal sto­ries from his four decades of stay­ing up late and get­ting tran­scen­den­tal with holy grail music.

In col­lab­o­ra­tion with Mr Bon­go, this launch par­ty will fea­ture tracks from ​‘É Soul Cul­tura Vol. 2’, such as the con­scious street soul fusion gospel of Veron­i­ca Mick­ie’s ​‘Lost Chil­dren’, the psych pro­gres­sive rock of Pyran­ha, and the Japan­ese elec­tron­ic slo-mo heav­i­ness from Bach Rev­o­lu­tion. You’ll also expe­ri­ence local heroes like Manchester’s Yargo and their dri­ving, obscure, pro­to-house bel­ter, ​‘Marim­ba’.

As Luke him­self says, ​“It’s not about show­ing off, col­lec­tor rar­i­ty, or ego-strut­ting, it’s all about telling sto­ries, shar­ing the music, and mak­ing life’s jour­ney mean some­thing.” Don’t miss this oppor­tu­ni­ty to be part of this unfor­get­table musi­cal cel­e­bra­tion, as we dance the night away to the eclec­tic, glob­al sounds that only Luke Una can deliver!

‘Luke Una Presents É Soul Cul­tura Vol. 2’ will be released on 9^th June 2023, with lim­it­ed edi­tion gate­fold dou­ble vinyl with OBI Strip, a fanzine writ­ten by Luke Una, CD, and dig­i­tal formats.
