About this event
Theorist (Theo Schlossman) grew up in South London, inspired by Radio 1’s Essential Mixes and early Dubstep. Initially part of the duo Traces, he released music on Innamind Recordings, Scotch Bonnet, and Rarefied, and toured the US with sold-out shows. Traces’ music was supported by Mala, Loefah, and Mary Anne Hobbs.
Now as Theorist, he explores a genre-ambivalent direction while retaining UK club culture influences. He hosts a regular slot on Reprezent Radio, featuring unreleased talent and notable guests. His music is supported by Ben UFO, Peverelist, and others, with features on Rinse FM, NTS, and BBC Radio 6. His latest track, “Xchange,” was released on Scuffed Recordings in 2024.
