About this event

The­o­rist (Theo Schloss­man) grew up in South Lon­don, inspired by Radio 1’s Essen­tial Mix­es and ear­ly Dub­step. Ini­tial­ly part of the duo Traces, he released music on Inna­mind Record­ings, Scotch Bon­net, and Rar­efied, and toured the US with sold-out shows. Traces’ music was sup­port­ed by Mala, Loe­fah, and Mary Anne Hobbs.

Now as The­o­rist, he explores a genre-ambiva­lent direc­tion while retain­ing UK club cul­ture influ­ences. He hosts a reg­u­lar slot on Reprezent Radio, fea­tur­ing unre­leased tal­ent and notable guests. His music is sup­port­ed by Ben UFO, Peverelist, and oth­ers, with fea­tures on Rinse FM, NTS, and BBC Radio 6. His lat­est track, ​“Xchange,” was released on Scuffed Record­ings in 2024.
